Tarakwo Dairies Company Limited wishes to announce the following vacancy:

VETERINARY OFFICER (1) POSITION

Duties and responsibilities: 

    1. Examine animals and check their health status

    2. Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment

    3. Provide advisory services to the farmers on feeding, breeding, health management and any other issue as may be required by the farmer.

    4. Prescribe and administer medication, as appropriate

    5. Provide Artificial Insemination Services.

    6. Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases. 

    7. Create, update and maintain animal medical records

    8. Provide reports and statistics as and when requested

    9. Attend internal meetings as and when requested

    10. Manage and account for all drugs and semen issued.

    11. Prepare requisition for drugs, as appropriate

    12. Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

    • Diploma/certificate in animal health and production and/or Animal Science. Degree holders will be an added advantage.

    • Must be registered with Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) and can perform Artificial Insemination Services

    • Computer literate

    • Have one year working experience in a related field.

  Essential Skills Include;

    • Must be numerate, have good analytical skills and be a good team leader

    • Must have excellent communication skills
